Most people get on Instagram to view other people’s stories, give their likes, save whatever needs to be saved and then leave it at that. While other people constantly grace us with their content but not every Instagrammer knows how to fully utilize the features that Instagram has to offer. Before claiming that Instagram is not resourceful or is boring, have you tried these features? 1.Restrict your online presence Ever wondered why the “restrict” option on Instagram exists? In case you’ve never used it, this basically means you’re able to ensure that another user will not be able to see when you’re online of if you’ve read their message. In addition, the comments of anyone you restrict will only be visible to that person, although you can choose to see the comment by tapping “See Comment.” 2.Delete embarrassing search history No one needs to know what you were searching apart from you. If you’d like to keep your history private or even better yet, gone completely we suggest you clear your search history. How do you do this?Go to your profile and click on the three-lines menu at the top right of your screen. Click on “Settings,” then “Security,” then from the Security menu select “Clear search history.” 3.Move your favourite filter to the top of the menu If you’d like to save on time and have your favourite filter at your reach you can easily move that filter that makes you look amazing easily at your reach. When you’re in the filter page of the Instagram posting process, simply press and hold onto any filter, then drag and drop it to where you’d like it to appear in your list. 4.Put your saved content into collection folders Every time you have content that amuses you you can easily split your content into different folders and name them differently. To add collection folders to your Saved area, go to your profile and tap on the three-lines menu at the top right of your screen. Now tap on Saved, which has a bookmark icon next to it. In your Saved area, tap the “+” button to create a new collection folder and give it a name. You can now add the posts you want to appear in that folder. 5.Pin positive comments to the top of your post If you have favourable content that has positive comments you can pin the one you value the most this would come in handy especially when customers have feedback about a product you’re selling. To do this, view the post’s comments, then swipe left on the comment you like and tap the pin icon to move it to the top of the list. Do be aware that when you pin a comment, the person who wrote the comment will get a notification. 6.Unfollow inactive accounts Ever seen someone’s post and you wondered when did I follow this person? Instagram knows you better than your friends, it has all the data about you, your likes, dislikes etc. You can unfollow inactive accounts in one tap all you have to do is click through to view each account, and if you decide you no longer want to follow them, simply tap on “Following” and you will unfollow them.
