AAA conducts tests in areas such as performance, reliability, all running costs, comfort, safety and security. The results are compiled in a car guide with over 100 pages. This year’s 2022 AAA Car Guide has 178 pages, it also includes buyer tips. Customers have been relying on this publication for over 10 years, and manufacturers know how important it is to have their cars featured, so much so that they proudly boast the test results and achievements of their vehicles. Ford Mustang Mach-E won this year’s best overall car, in the process it beat competitors such as Volvo XC40 Recharge P8 AWD, Audi e-tron Sportback and VW ID.4. Note how all top 4 places went to fully electric cars, the same way the World Car Awards top 3 vehicles were all electric. Having said that, it is interesting how Tesla, the leader in electric vehicle sales, did not feature in any of the 178 pages of the publication. In fact, out of the 22 manufacturers whose cars were tested this year, Tesla was not listed. AAA hasn’t clarified why they did not include the manufacturer.
