Design: a well-presented gadget
The ZenBook 13 OLED is not the sort of gadget that we that will stick out on the stalls of huge electronics shops. Why Am I saying so? The device is multifunctional and steadfastly somber. Despite this, ASUS provides a machine with exquisite lines based on a tiny chassis with the following dimensions: 30.40 x 20.30 x 1.39 cm. On the keyboard side, you can see that the keyboard has moved to the left as scroll instructions have been added to the right, and the keys are a bit short. A big touchpad is built underneath the keyboard, making navigating a pleasure. In terms of design, the ZenBook 13 OLED is a fantastic feat. An OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio was chosen for this gadget, with very imposing borders above and below the screen. Let us finish with the OLED display finally. This screen brings me joy every day. Most of you who possess an OLED smartphone will agree with what I’m stating. But why is that? Other kinds of slabs currently do not provide the same picture quality, black levels, contrast ratio, or broad viewing angles.
Performance: What is the Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 worth?
The Intel® CoreTM i7-1165G7 CPUs and Intel Iris Xe graphics in the Zenbook 13 OLED series are backed by 8/16GB RAM and 512 SSD. While it comes to multitasking many processes simultaneously, it seems that the Core i7 has no delays or slowdown when moving between programs. Of course, you can still play games like Red Dead Redemption, Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider while keeping reasonable frame rates.
Battery Life: endurance is what you want
The ZenBook 13 OLED is a well-designed ultraportable with an excellent screen and a powerful CPU, but the device truly shines in the realm of battery life. For example, when playing video games, the screen brightness should be set at 100%, the keyboard backlight should be turned off, and the power settings should be in the optimal battery mode. Before recharging the gadget, it can run for roughly 13 hours without plugging in. Crazy! The manufacturer also provides a compact 65 W charging pad to replenish the battery’s 67 Wh capacity in approximately 90 minutes.
Sound: no, jack, but still recidivates
The ZenBook 13 does away with the 3.5 mm headphone jack favoring a USB-C to Jack adaptor. There’s also a HiRes Audio-certified quality converter with a 24-bit DAC signed by ESS for a good cause. This DAC performs well, providing us with a loud, abundant, warm, and accurate sound. The ZenBook 13 OLED’s small speakers try their utmost to produce audio quality that is good enough for watching films or movies.
The ZenBook 13 OLED Price in Kenya
Ksh 158,000 and KSH 140,000 are the claimed prices for the Asus UX325EA i7 16GB 512GB SSD and Asus ZenBook UX325 i7 8GB 512GB SSD, respectively in the country. The prices seem reasonable for a device as pleasant to use as the ZenBook 13, mainly since it retains its gorgeous OLED panel in this version. The two pairs can be found only at Text Book Centre for the mentioned prices above We strongly suggest the ZenBook 13 OLED, which we believe is well-suited to all its responsibilities. We’re looking forward to seeing whether additional ultraportables of this class will be released later in 2022.
