Jeel, which was founded in 2019 by Ahmed Sobaih, provides educational content to children in the form of songs, games, and films under parental supervision. Jeel App creates educational and psychological content that highlights values and ethics for children aged three to nine years old. Jeel App, the company’s main project, is a mobile application for children aged 3 to 9 years old that includes parental control tools and a wealth of parenting content. Under the supervision of parenting experts, the application is built on an educational and psychological criterium that emphasizes values and ethics. The platform will use the US$1.2 million seed funding round, which was raised from Kuwaiti and Jordanian angel investors, to accelerate its growth and add new services in 2021, as well as strengthen its technological capabilities and expand its personnel. Jeel will also expand its repertoire by acquiring new high-quality cartoon series, songs, and games. “Jeel Platform is stepping forward steadily with clear vision and strategy and this step pushes it towards our next milestone. We plan to launch more products and services soon, as a part of our expansion strategy,” Sobaih said. “We all aim for the sky since we are working with passion on a promising platform that creates a unique, fun environment for parents and children,” said Ahmed Rashed, an Advisory Board Member with Jeel. Rashed added that “the platform is witnessing a great growth potential, especially with the unprecedented demand for digital entertainment and educational services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
