This year, we seem to be facing a hot smartphone before the year ends. In addition to new folding phones from Samsung and the iPhone 13, Google is also fully back in the flagship race and wants to shake Samsung’s dominance with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

Pixel 6 Pro: Technical equipment of Google phones

The technical data of both Google phones have now become known. Here is what Techmoran Knows so far

Pixel 6 (Codename: Oriel):

Pixel 6 Pro (code name: Raven):

In the recent past, Google has focused more on mid-range devices that offered excellent value for money. However, the presumed equipment of the Pixel 6 and especially the Pixel 6 Pro makes it clear that Google wants to play with its Pixel phones technically again at the forefront – where Samsung traditionally sets the tone in the Android sector. It should also be interesting to see how powerful Google’s processor is compared to Snapdragon or Exynos chips. The group is developing it in cooperation with Samsung’s processor division under the code name “Whitechapel.”

Long update promise: Google puts Samsung under pressure

Apart from the technical data, Google could also attack Samsung in another place: Android updates. According to Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech, the Pixel 6 phones will receive a total of 5 years of software updates. Samsung recently announced something similar itself, but only for selected Galaxy phones used in companies. Google, on the other hand, will make this long update promise to all buyers.
