At a conference with tens of participants, manually muting everyone causes a commotion. You will not have the same privilege if you are not the meeting host. By muting the browser tab, you can still mute everyone’s audio for yourself. Although each browser has its method for muting tabs, the majority of them involves right-clicking on the tab and then selecting the mute option from the context menu.
