The Emergency Response Fund formed by President Uhuru Kenyatta will cushion Kenyans during this crisis. The fund has received funds from the various organization in Kenya. We are edging closer to 1 billion. Fund targets vulnerable groups in rural-urban settlements and low-income earners in Kenya. Yesterday, the board received a fund boost of assorted valuables from Shree Visa Oshwal Community to aid 57 vulnerable groups. “We stand with the nation to help limit the spread of the virus. And ease the related economic hardships faced by the communities in which we operate,” KCB Group CEO and MD Joshua Oigara said. “This pandemic is a new test of our collective strength, and we must work together to address it. We play our part to support this initiative. As well as complement the Government’s effort in empowering the most vulnerable in our midst,” said Mr Oigara who is also a Board Member of the Fund The contribution is in addition to the other measures the Bank has taken to cushion the customer and other stakeholders against the raging impact of coronavirus. Some of these initiatives include a KShs 20M donation to the Ministry of ICT in-kind Public advertisement. Which will fund the public health campaign.
