In Huawei’s AppGallery, the virus was hidden among 190 programs posing as various games. When installed, the program asks for authorization to use the call features to acquire access to the information that the Trojan was attempting to retrieve. The virus then relayed the phone number, location, technical details, and mobile network settings to a remote server. The implicated apps were withdrawn from the AppGallery by Huawei. The Chinese manufacturer advertises its users to be responsible for uninstalling these games and determining whether or not their device is contaminated using an antivirus.
