The FAST program, run by Microsoft, received 800 applications from 25 African nations. Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Ghana, and Egypt received the most applications from a diverse variety of areas. AgTech, EdTech, HealthTech, and FinTech were among the industries with the most participants. During the 12-week boot camp, the founders of the firms will participate in activities such as company growth, cloud and AI integration, fundraising, and community building, all of which will help them scale and remain sustainable. Working on co-innovation projects with Microsoft technical teams will benefit the participants.
