Xiaomi himself has betrayed this. More precisely, a leading employee commented on MIUI 13 on Weibo. You can see a screenshot of his post in the following tweet: The post is actually about internal testing mechanisms with which the community is not satisfied. This also seems to affect MIUI 13, whose rollout, according to the article, should take place in August at the latest. Because this month – and after the launch of MIUI 13 – there will be adjustments to the test procedure. But note: By the time the update reaches Africa(Kenya), August may already have passed.
MIUI 13: First time based on Android 11?
So far, hardly anything is known about MIUI 13. Not even if it will be called that. Another name is quite conceivable, as the number “13” is considered an unlucky number in many parts of the world. Another not too daring speculation is that Xiaomi MIUI 13 will initially roll out in combination with Android – instead of directly in the package with Android 12. Because in August, Android 12 for Xiaomi smartphone should not even be available. As is well known, the manufacturer has already done a similar procedure more often. As you may know, MIUI is not tied to a specific Android version.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 directly with MIUI 13?
Should the launch of MIUI 13 take place in August, it could be done together with the presentation of the Mi Mix 4. This is said to be a flagship that, in many ways, is on par with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (for testing). Such a combo launch would probably not be the worst idea. Apple also traditionally releases its major iOS update immediately after the launch of the new iPhones. Maybe Xiaomi is inspired by it. It would not be the first time, and so far, the manufacturer has done very well with it.
