The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform is leading the program in partnership with the Federation of Information Technologies, Telecommunications, and Offshoring (APEBI), as well as AMDIE, ADD, CGEM, AUSIM, and Technopark. MoroccoTech aspires to make Morocco a preferred digital destination around the world, as well as to create a global dynamic that would benefit all Moroccan ecosystems in their digital transformation. This initiative, which is the result of a “public-private” partnership approach, is the manifestation of a mobilizing and unifying movement among the numerous participants in the Moroccan digital ecosystem. “This day is a celebration of digital Made in Morocco” said Ghita MEZZOUR Minister Delegate, in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in the presence of Dr. Younes SEKKOURI, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills .The Minister also emphasized Morocco’s determination to establish itself as a regional digital hub, through the Morocco Tech brand, in particular by promoting its assets as a “tech destination”. “Morocco has one of the most attractive talent pools in the region and one of the best infrastructures on the continent. The Kingdom can also rely on a large number of innovative companies that support customers in Morocco and around the world, particularly in the field of offshoring. It thus demonstrates its ability to develop an internationally competitive digital ecosystem, thanks to its adapted offers and its tailor-made support for investors, making it possible to attract several prestigious technology companies to set up and invest in Morocco,” Ghita MEZZOUR said. “The Morocco Tech brand will be supported by both the public sector and private actors within the framework of effective and results-oriented governance. The CGEM is fully aware of the role of a successful technological transformation to strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of our economy internationally, but also to accelerate the creation of jobs and added value, in line with the New Model of Development. We will work, with and through APEBI, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transition, AMDIE and AUSIM to achieve the objectives set and position our country as one of the best destinations for technology and innovation in the continent and in the world,” Chakib ALJ, President of CGEM added.
