There’s been a major update, but there are a few minor changes.

The launch date has been set for Monday, October 25. The update will be available for free download from the “Software Update” menu in System Preferences .In terms of compatibility, Apple leaves some devices out in the open, such as iMacs, MacBook Airs, and MacBook Pros from before 2015, as well as the 2015 MacBook. MacOS Monterey does not bring as many significant changes as macOS Big Sur’s new design. Instead, this version 12.0 brings small tweaks and improvements from IOS 15, such as Concentration mode, which filters notifications based on the time of day, FaceTime with Portrait mode to blur the background (only for Macs with M1 processors), and SharePlay, which lets you watch or listen to content with friends. This new version also includes Universal Control, a new mode that allows you to switch from your Mac’s screen to an iPad’s screen by simply moving the mouse cursor in the direction of your second screen, all without having to connect.
