Just so you know, the Galaxy S9 is not coming anytime soon. And if it is, it’s definitely not this year. This is so because as history has had it, Samsung releases only one model off the Galaxy S series annually and 2017 has gifted us the Galaxy S8 and its older sibling, the Galaxy S8 Plus already. Back to the Galaxy S9 talks, the device has been speculated to be the first smartphone off the Galaxy S-series that will feature a dual rear camera and in another feat, the second Samsung smart phone to have the feature. In some other news that have surfaced earlier, the S9 have also been confirmed by droidholic to feature a rear facing fingerprint scanner that will be about the same size as that on the S8 and located beside the dual primary camera. It would be recalled that some users of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus expressed their displeasure concerning the positioning of the fingerprint scanner. According to them, whenever they try to unlock their S8 and S8 Plus, their hands touches the lens of the primary camera due to its proximity to the rear camera. This in turn scratches and blurs out the lens of the S8 and subsequently results into poor image quality. Segueing on, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 was initially identified as the first candidate device from Samsung that will feature the first-of-its-kind in-screen fingerprint scanner. However, KGI was quick to debunked the reports and announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 as the recipient of that honour. Before we begin to bask in the reports and rumours of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9, it would be more healthy of we pay more attention to the ones we have at hand and enjoy them to the fullest. I’m talking about the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as well as the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was launched about 48 hours ago as a successor to the failed Galaxy Note 7 that was globally recalked (though it was relaunched as the Galaxy Note FE). The Note 8 launched with juicy specs like a large 6.7 inch AMOLED display, Dual 12MP primary camera, 8MP selfie camera, Android v7.1.1 Nougat, 3,300mAh battery and 6GB of RAM (though a cheaper 4GB RAM version may be announced by September).
