It was indeed the Google Pixel 3a that enabled the brand to initially establish itself in the mid-range market with their tentative first steps. These gadgets are poised to receive their last security update after three years. Remember that during June of last year, these Google Pixel variants benefitted from a surprise upgrade that had nothing to do with security. Google used this chance to update its phones and make them VoLTE compliant while also fixing some problems. In particular, the latest security-related update for the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL was scheduled for last July. But this one hadn’t come yet—not until today. Therefore, the Mountain View company has capitalized on September and the recently announced security update to add its older models to the list of impacted devices. The “SP2A.220505.008” version of the updated firmware is now in use. However, it can take a few more days to reach your device, as is typical.
